Asian Meals With Beef and Noodles
This one pan Asian Beef and Noodles recipe has meat, veggies and a carb all in one dish, and can be prepared in only 30 minutes! It takes a minimum of 4 ingredients to make. It's like having beef chow mein from your favorite Chinese restaurant at home.
Nothing beats the satisfaction of a restaurant-quality meal that you can make right in your own kitchen. Creating a fancy dish and then preparing several sides can be a lot of work, but it's nice to have a recipe that checks that box, but doesn't take all night and a sink full of dishes to prepare.
I love this dish because noodles bring the comfort food quality, but it's packed with vitamins and protein. There's nothing like a healthy, feel good recipe that is easy to prepare.
Why You'll Love These Beef Noodles
- Save The Mess - After preparing your noodles, everything gets baked in one dish, so you won't have to worry about several pans on the stovetop, or a sink full of dishes.
- Protein Powered – This dish makes an ideal dinner, and leftovers will make a great lunch, as it is rich in protein, and will keep you full and satisfied.
NOTE: If you want to make this with four ingredients, use your favorite stir fry sauce or teriyaki sauce. You would omit the sauce making portion.
Ingredients
- Steak – Steak is rich in protein and iron, making this meat a strong choice.
- Snow Peas – Snow peas are low in calories, but packed with fiber, potassium and vitamin c.
- Brown Rice Noodles – If you don't have rice noodles, you can swap these out for spaghetti, but rice noodles will offer a more authentic bite. They're also naturally gluten free. Brown rice noodles will offer greater nutritional value than white.
- Sesame Oil – Don't sub this out for another oil! If you don't have a bottle, it is time to add it to your pantry. Not only is sesame oil essential to the flavor of the dish, it is also rich in antioxidants.
- Soy Sauce – This will be the delicious base of your sauce. If gluten is an issue, make sure to opt for a tamari style gluten free soy sauce.
- Rice Vinegar – Rice vinegar has a sweeter, more delicate flavor than other vinegars. You can also make a fantastic salad dressing with it, if you needed another reason to snag a bottle.
- Honey – Either honey or brown sugar will work in the sauce, in terms of texture and flavor, so this is up to your preference.
- Ground ginger – Ginger is the delicious anti-inflammatory that will be the star of the flavor profile in this dish. Dried ginger will work nicely, but if you only have fresh minced ginger, you'll need to use 2 tsp instead of ½
- Garlic – There can never be enough garlic. It's flavorful and immune-boosting!
- Pepper – ground black pepper for seasoning.
Garnishes – These are optional, but I would encourage you to add your favorites. Sesame seeds, green onions, or peanuts are all great options.
How to Make It

Step by Step Instructions
First, preheat oven to 350 and prepare a baking dish with nonstick spray. Prepare noodles according to box instructions. You will want them to be al dente. Be careful not to overcook, as they'll be going in the oven.
Now it's time to fill the baking dish with noodles.
Then add in the snow peas and steak strips.
Now you'll want to prepare your sauce. You may also use your favorite teriyaki or stir fry sauce. In a small bowl, whisk together sesame oil, soy sauce, rice vinegar, honey, ginger, garlic, and pepper.
After making the sauce, pour the sauce over noodles, snow peas, and beef. Add it to a baking dish and cover. Bake for 18-20 minutes, until steak is done.
Stir the dish to mix and top with your choice of garnishes. Red pepper flakes are so good to give it a kick. Serve warm!
Cook's Tips
- When cutting your steak, aim for strips that are around ¼ inch in thickness. I like to use sirloin steak or flank steak.
- Make sure your noodles aren't overcooked since it will be cooked in the oven
- Using my shortcut and using teriyaki sauce or stir fry sauce? Make sure you like the flavor of that particular sauce! There's nothing worse than a failed recipe because you didn't like the flavor of the sauce in the first place.
- If you don't have spaghetti noodles, you can use chow mein noodles.
- In a pinch?
